How to Apply Tape in Hair Extensions The hair extensions will be sent with blue tape or green tape randomly, but the type of tapes will not have influence on the final result if applied properly. For blue tape, please apply the hair extensions by following the guidance above and then wait about 48 hours before hair washing. If you get green tape, please fasten the tapes twice with a pliers after gluing them in (fasten one side the first time, then the opposite side the second time). Adding some heat to the tape can bring a better result. After application, you need to wait at least 36 hours before washing your hair. This way, the hair extensions will not fall out easily. How Can I Remove Tape in Extensions from My Hair? Saturate the tape with hair extension tape remover. Simply spray the product generously over the tape, until the area is saturated. Gently pull on the part of the hair extension that is the closest to the tape. Wiggle it lightly to see if it moves. Apply more remover and let it sit for a minute if the hair extension is still stuck. Use your fingernails to peel the tape away from your natural hair. It should easily come away in your hands. Work on only 1 piece of tape at a time, rather than trying to remove multiple hair extensions at once.
